Ursula Pereira Through the Years 1926 to 2015 Ursula was born in Vettukad, Trivandrum in 1926 to Pitcha & Anne Pereira. She had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She married Simon Joseph Pereira in 1951. She had her first child Violet in Vettukad. She moved to join her husband in Seria, Brunei in 1953. She lived in Seria till 1979 and moved with her family to Mumbai in 1979. She died on 16th Oct 2015. It is over ten years since we bid goodbye to Mummy. She had left us for a better place where there is no pain and no more suffering. She used to ask: "Why is God was not calling me? Why is he keeping me so long?" Had he forgotten? The call come after 89 years on 16th Oct 2015. Life had become difficult for her the last 3 years. All her siblings had departed, so had most of her friends and relatives. For someone who valued her independence it was tough. Mum had just become a great grandmother when my daughter gave birth ...
